Super Bowl Tri Tip Recipe

Tri Tip is one of those cuts of beef that requires a little planning in order to bring out the best flavor. What better way to showcase your talent than having Tri Tip beef sandwiches in time for your Super Bowl Party. Watch this video recipe and follow these recipe steps and you will be amazed how great this steak will taste.

Tri-Tip- Ingredients

Shopping List / Ingredients: Feeds a Family of 6 +Plus

(1) 4-Pound Tri Tip Roast, trimmed

(1) Cup , Fresh Lemon Juice

(1) Cup A-1 Sauce

½ Cup Soy Sauce

½ Cup Olive Oil

½ Cup Montreal Steak Seasoning

¼ Cup Minced Garlic

½ Cup of Hunt’s Original BBQ Sauce

(1) Package of King’s Hawaiian, Hamburger Buns

(2) Carrots and Celery Stalks, sliced

½ Brown Onion, Sliced

(3) Cups of Beef Broth

Equipment: Oven ( 300 Degrees) , Roasting Pan, BBQ, 1-Gallon Ziploc Bag,

Prep Time: 20 Minutes, Marinade 2-hours, BBQ 1- Hour, Baking Time 2-Hours; Total time: 5.5 Hours

 

Cooking Steps: Make Marinade

Take 1-Gallon ZipLoc bag and pour Lemon Juice, A-1, Soy Sauce, Olive Oil into bag. Rub meat with Montreal Seasoning and Minced Garlic. Let meat set for at least 2-hours. Meat should look like this, (See picture)

Marinade

Start BBQ: Low / Med Heat

When Marinade time is done, take meat out of bag and gently remove excess moisture from meat. Place on LOW/Med heat BBQ and cook for 1- hour. Keep heat high enough to give the exterior a good burn.

Next Step: Start Oven, 300 Degrees

Tri-Tip-C

Now that the meat has cooked in the BBQ for an hour, remove from heat. Take Roasting pan and place the Beef Broth, Celery, Carrots and onion in the pan. Place Tri Tip n the pan and place a light cover of Hunt’s Original BBQ Sauce and cover the whole pan with Foil. Place in 300-degree oven for another 2 hours.

2-Hours later…

Tri-Tip-D

Remove Tri Tip from oven and cut meat into slices and allow sitting in broth for another 30 -45-minutes, covered. When ready, serve with King’s Hawaiian Hamburger rolls and your favorite condiments enjoy!
